I am shocked how much strawberries in the markets cost in The Philippines outside of Baguio. They cost more than in the U.S.
Also, they seem to be imported from New Zealand. Couldn't they just get it from Baguio for a much cheaper price?

English Premier League Football In Angeles
Just some quick notes from my very recent visit. This is far from exhaustive so won't be offended at all if corrected or if I missed something obvious.
Was looking to catch a few live games whilst in Angeles over three weekends and initially only found Brettos (seemingly partially rebranded/renamed Paradise Beer Garden) at the far end of Walking Street (away from SM mall) to show games with sound.
They use a good quality internet stream of BeIN sports (UK Sky commentary) across multiple screens in fairly big bar non A/C bar. They only show a single game across all screens (not like some Bangkok/Pattaya bars where multiple games will be shown).
Yesterday went to watch the early game there but was told they had an issue with internet provider so could not show the game. Found Rob’s Gastropub close by and initially though this is where to watch EPL in Angeles. It is large, well-appointed indoor A/C bar with large booths and big screens showing a Vietnamese channel (with UK Sky commentary). All was great until almost 10pm when the DJ kicked in. I did notice the place filling up from around 9:30 with locals but thought nothing of it. However at 10 the music started really pumping. Seemingly this is the locals pre-HiSo venue of choice (for those not wanting the typical Angeles bar). No issue with the venue as the place was packed.

Hotels With See-Through Showers
I love the idea of the glass enclosed see-through showers. Like if you are sitting on the bed you can look to the side and see directly into the shower unobstructed. Lots of possibilities with a few girls in there. ![;)]()
I saw that both Angeles Beach Club Hotel and Prime Asia Hotel both have this type of setup. Does anyone know of any others in Angeles?

Looking For Lady Travel Companion?
Planning a trip the Phills in the spring. Been few times before with my Filipina wife and daughters, but this time I'm going solo. However, a white guy by himself is an invitation for a mugging. Some parts of the Phills, white skin = money!
I'm looking at a couple of nights in Manila on arrival. Then heading north to Elocos Sur where the wife's family are. Give them a look-in, before finding a beach resort. San Fernando probably?
So with caution in mind, got to thinking having a Filipina accompany me on my travels. Not only to put off muggers, but also to haggle taxi fares, shops, hotel prices, ect so I don't get ripped off. Like the wife done when we went together.
Now the question is: Just where to find a reliable lady that for the price of peso's, will accompany me to ward off the muggers and con artist? Not forgetting having her share my hotel room, if would be so lucky?
Chances are I could pick one up in Manila before I leave? But how can trust I wont get ripped off and robbed? So does anyone know of any websites or whatever where I can find a reliable lady? I am based in the UK if any help?

I've spent years in Thailand on and off and find in general I spend around 8-9000baht a day excluding hotel costs.
How does that relate in Angeles City, what do you guys spend a day?
I understand we are all different and spend accordingly.
I like to drink a lot, a short time and a long time a day.
Some days less but not usually more.
All advice greatly appreciated.

What Message Does A Girl Convey When She Describes Herself As "simple"?
I'm surprised how often on a dating site, or just in general conversation, where a Filipina describes herself as simple. Often it is the first or only adjective she uses.
Girls are out there presenting themselves as smiling, well-groomed, attractive and sexy.... looking for romance, either just dating or for a long-term relationship. Very next thing she says is "I'm simple". It is like saying "look how beautiful I am but really I'm as dumb as dogshit". Talk about mixed messages!
Why do so many do this? It doesn't seem to only apply those with poorer education.
Do they realise it can be a turnoff to many guys? I certainly view it that way.
What do others think?

Help Needed With My Addiction To Hookers

Walking From Perimeter To Fields At Night
Many people say it's dangerous to walk down from Perimeter (Don Juico) to Fields at night. I have never been one of those people as I come from Los Angeles and walking down many of those streets is far more dangerous. It was approximately 10 PM and I decided to walk from around Bretto's to ultimately the Reef and umm Lollipop. I tend to do this as often as possible but generally it's earlier so I thought a little night walk would be different.
I guess if I one were drunk out of their mind that might signal to any nefarious individuals that a potential mark is beckoning but walking like a normal human being is very safe IMHO. To be honest, I only walked past 3 other foreigners the whole way so that says something. You be the judge of that.
Here's a few shots (sorry on 1 shot of girls as I didn't try) from around Eruption's down to Checkpoint. There's an interesting cheap buffet for 299p (Anybody try it?) I may checkout, a cheap 60 peso barber, a newer bakery and a laundry shop @ 35 pesos a kilo.

I found some incredible fares on Kayak for China Southern Airlines. I'm talking US $446 round-trip, econo class, LAX-MNL-LAX, late April 2017 departure.
Anyone flown CSA? If so, what was your opinion? The LAX-Guangzhuo leg is on a A380.
